Printer Halts on SD Card Print TWICE

Post by Christian79 »

My second creation was to be an iPhone holder that mounts to my bed rail so i could easily answer the phone when I am on call for my job.
Both times I have tried to print my holder, the printer stalls around 28%.
The last time it happened I was next to the printer and I saw the buffer drop to 5,2,4, and then hold at 0.
After this happened the print did not resume.

And thoughts?

Here is the stl file…..

Perhaps posting your gcode file might help, also take a look at your temperature readings and make sure it didn't suddenly just turn off mid print.

Sorry about that….. It was late last night and I forgot to post the geode.

BTW I hade to change the extension back to gcode to upload it. For some reason .gcd is not allowed.

Doesn't seem like anything is inherently wrong with the gcode file, although, I didn't actually try printing it. I'm inclined to think there is something else involved here, perhaps your USB plug is loose or there is some interference that prevented commands from reaching the printer.

Sorry I can't be of much more help.

I thought USB as well, but I am printing directly from the SD card. Also, I even unplugged the USB cable for the second print and in both cases the print stopped at 28%.

Can you tell me what layer it was on?

just out of curiosity, why are you at .95 extrusion multiplier? Why not just measure your filament and use 1.0?

Unfortunately the display did not mention the layer since I was printing off the SD card. However, since there are 519 layers I assume that the layer was around 145.

I did measure the filament however, when I did the thin wall test the filament was coming out a bit too much.

Do you think I should double check the filament size and test again?
