thermistor bad?
thermistor bad?
I checked the continuity and nothing, my understanding is that it should atleast have some continuity, did i wire it wrong or something? I turned it on for like 30 secs to see if it turns off and it didnt

The thermistor provided with the kit should read about 1.3MOhm at room temperature.

If you see it read nothing then you need to probably replace it.
One thing to keep in mind is the thermistor has a glass cover and can be broken.

well it seems to work fingers crossed, it does cycle on and off

Most meters wont see the resistance at room temos, but carefully measuring temps while it heats up, i work the pot on the velleman and bring it up to the lowest temo and make sure it cycles, then creep it up little by little to 425f and note the dial position.
