Print of a part my son created in thingmaker
Part of the reason (read justification to the wife) for getting a 3d printer was to allow my son to print the things he is drawing in autocad class. It is really great to come home and see something printing on the RMAX. For a challenge he whipped out the digital calipers and sketched this part up in Autodesk Thingmaker. My biggest delight is in how close the tolerances are on the printed part.
Me: That's a cool DubStep. I really like the drop. But could you turn it down a little?
Son: That's the refrigerator Dad.
And that is why I will never buy HotPoint again!

Close tolerances on a part like that one is great. It always amazes me how well the Rostock Max can print once it is dialed in properly.
