EZstruder Issue

Post by r0773nluck »

Hi Guys,
I recently purchased an ezstruder but i am having a rather weird inconsistent issue, Every so often the filament will slip to the side of the gear drive and stop extruding. I can simple release the tensioner and the filament slides back into place. this is an issue if i want to leave prints alone. Anyone experience this or know how to fix it? I have tried adjusting the the position of the gear drive in numerous spots, which helped but did not eliminate the issue.
thank you!

Make sure the hobbed bolt is in good condition, then try to increase the tension. If it chews through the filament you've gone to far, or you have a jam.

That's another thing to check is see if there's any resistance in moving the filament through the assembly without the tensioner against the filament.
