Gear Heart

Post by dpmacri »

I figured with Valentine's Day coming soon, that I'd print one of these: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:243278.

Some prints in progress:

Finished on the bed.

The finished item (which was tricky to assemble, even while watching the video :-P):

I printed in White ABS (Jet, ordered from Amazon) at 240C with an E3D, 0.4mm nozzle and Gluestick on 100C bed. Here are my slicing parameters if anyone's interested. Note that I increased the speed multiplier to 150% after about 5 hours of printing and then I increased it to 200% after about 7.5 hours of printing. I'm not sure how long it actually took because I went to bed :-). It was 75% done after 8.5 hours of printing according to the LCD.
