Whats the best filament???

Post by AndThenSome09 »

Based on your experiences what would you say is the best deal on ABS filament that is both cheaper and high quality??

I'm asking because I am going to be making a big purchase of ABS Filament once my tax return comes in, in order to start printing all the pieces for my prototype 3d Delta Printer I'm designing.

Any help in making this purchase easier would be very much appreciated!! Thank you!! :D

Has anyone tried a filament from "Just ABS" on Amazon.com? Price is Right, reviews seem ok.

Yes, I have tried two spools from them and had no problems with it printing.

Well I think I'll give that a shot, $26 for a KG is not bad. How is the tolerance?

Good enough that I had zero problems with it.
They also have a branch of business called JustPLA and it seems okay also.

Sorry but no, I haven't experienced purchasing filaments there. My spools of ABS filament came from 3d2print, price is right and has a good quality & variety of filaments. For some practical reason, I always avail their saver pack deals- (ABS Saver Pack- Little Joe spools) to get free economy delivery.

A cheap but high quality filament is definitely a good deal. Anyway, do you already have a supplier? You might want to try 3d2print.net filament. This is my favorite supplier of 3D printing materials because they deliver things on time, and I haven’t experienced anything bad with the print quality.

I agree that the filament from 3D2print is good but the website is not local to the United States.

My go-to is SainSmart red PLA. It seems impervious to moisture and is the least likely to jam. I've never had to put it into a dry box to get it to print. Highly recommend! The only caveat is that their winding technique is awful, so you can't leave it alone for too long or it'll start to bind.

I don't print in PLA haven't even tried to, I print in ABS. I got some filament from R3D on ebay, blue ABS, haven't found its sweet spot as far as temp goes, I'm having a problem with layer adhesion with it but I also think my extruder motor may be capping out on me so that could be the problem too. If anyone has used it and knows the temp
