Broke another E3D...

So, apparently I'm an idiot...

After breaking my E3D last time I tried to change the nozzle, I just broke it again. Being more careful this time, I first snapped the nozzle clean off. And then my threaded thermistor. Somehow anything screwed into the heater block seems to seize in place and never come out ever again.

I think I'm done with E3Ds.

They don't seize in place, they expand/contract with the heating/cooling, and must always be heated when unscrewing them.

That's not just for E3D, that's for any hot end.

Since the nozzle had broken off inside the heater block, I wanted to remove the thermistor to move it to another hotend... Alas, it also broke.

Maybe I'll try the J-head one next. Though I can't print a mount for it right now of course

Did you try heating the E3D before trying to remove those parts?
The nozzle is supposed to be tightened while the E3D is at 300c if you try to remove it when the E3D is cool
there is a good possibility for seizure as you found out. That does not mean the E3D is faulty. A J-Head is fine but
you are back to being limited in what filaments you can use.
