Who's ready for Spring?

Post by Batteau62 »

Sick of the cold and snow? Show me/us a pic of a favorite summer spot?
This is the Farmington river in Simsbury, CT. I'm lucky enough to be five minutes from a put in for my boat :D
And yes, this will be the test venue for the mhackney fly reel...soon...I hope ;)

Man does that look nice! Now I have an itch for this long winter to end.
Beautiful place to go fishing.

No but some nights in winter it gets stupidly cold, occasionally as low as 2-3°!!!

And it rains a bit sometimes.

Crappy weather.

Our summers with regular runs of 104° plus tend to leave us unaccustomed to the cooler weather and the wet stuff is a PITA after months of clear blue skies.

Need to win lotto so I can just follow summer around the planet :)

Picture taken off the dock from our island.

It's currently -44C with the windchill here. (That's -47F for some of you)

I miss summers. Used to have stuff like this;

Now I'm in Ohio where "mountains" are just really tall hills, and everyone thinks an inch of snow is a natural disaster.

I'm from Ohio also and we have had our fair share of snow. Now we're supposed to get another 10".
I'd be quite happy with the 1" you were talking about. Nice picture, makes me wish winter would get the H out of here!

Nice looking ride! Another couple of months and you'll be cruising. I think your son needs a little smaller version. :)

See! Now that's snow! None of this 60F one day, -4F two days later, then snow the next, then rain two days later and 40's! This state didn't have goofy weather like this when I was a kid! We got snow! It stayed until spring!

Yeah, I'm tired of this cold snow then rain then mildly warm bs, I want spring and summer bad! But what's funny is a month and a half into summer with really hot and humid days where u can't even sleep we will all want the cold back real bad, most anyway, usually how things go. Lol! This is life!! :D
