Are you aware of any other changes that should be made? I'm now calibrating. Perhaps by the end of the week, dual extruders! Whee!
It's getting to the point where you can't trust anything made in a certain Country.geneb wrote:If the invert wasn't bad enough, SeeMeCNC has gotten a few stepper motors with the connectors wired correctly, but the wiring is inverted INSIDE the stepper. I discovered that little misfeature when I powered up the v2 and homed it. Two towers went up, one went down. I had my finger on the power switch just in case, so nothing got chewed up. (and yes, that'll be covered in the manual!)

John, what have you tried?JohnStack wrote:ok next at bad:
Extruder stepper motor is running in reverse. I can't print.
I tried Flateric's inverse suggestion. No worky. Ideas?
Sorry to hear you had a bad stepper after all.JohnStack wrote:A variable resistor - so if you give it a specific voltage, it gives a specific resistance. Odd that it is used to handle shorts.
Anyway, after more isolation, it's a blown stepper. Dammit. Better than a board of course. Need to source one in the San Diego area. Fingers crossed. And there are none. Argh!!!
BTW, do not simply reverse the plug on E0 stepper!!!!
You are going to buy a Fartesian when all the beautiful deltas like the Orion exist?JohnStack wrote:Believe it or not, regardless of its size, San Diego is not all that when it comes to parts. There is Robo3D though and they're nice guys. I'll pick one up from them tomorrow...and shutter to think, I'll also pick up a Robo3D while I'm at it. I don't have a Cartesian so I thought I would try one.
I was just picking on you, John. Truth be know the majority of Delta owners also have cartesian printers. I have an Orion, 2 Rostock Max, and a Prusa I3.JohnStack wrote:Let's see if I can adequately answer this ( without offending ) anyone:

But, that said, there is no replacing my Rostock, the folks at SeeMeCNC and this community...
