Simplify 3D 2.0.1

Post by makerguy564 »

Hello. I just bought simplify 3D with the hopes of getting it to work with my Orion. I loaded the Rostock Max profile as someone in the forums suggested. I tweaked the machine dimensions and left everything else the same. When I try to run the gcode, the hotend heats up, then the machine homes, and then the hotend creeps downward at an incredible slow pace. Any ideas? Anyone have a Orion profile to share?? Thanks!

I would recommend that you post this question under the Rostock Max sub forum. There are going to be few if any Orion users that have Simplify 3D but I know that there are
several Max users that have it and may be able to help you.

Actually, I would suggest posting this in the new Simplify 3D sub-forum.
That said, my ORION configuration is attached (change file extension from .txt to .fff; then import).

Thank you for sharing with a fellow member. You also brought to my attention the new sub-forum. I guess I need to
start looking at the index page more often.

@ int2str

I imported your settings - the nozzle diameter is set to 0.40 mm -- Are you using a different nozzle on your Orion printer or does this setting get a printer quality than the standard 0.50mm ??

Yes, I'm using an E3D hotend.
You need to fix this for the stock hotend.
