The card may just have decided to die but that is not very common, that's why I would give the wiring a good inspection.
You are correct Eaglezsoar!
Or pretty darn close anyway...I neglected to tape off the wires I stripped for the Peek and PLA fans and am fairly confident the bare wired touched and shorted out the F3 fuse on the Rambo board. There are 3 fuses total on the RAMBo board 2 small Nano and one larger Automotive style (I didn't originally know about the Nano fuses). Once I learned of the 2 smaller fuses I checked them and found one was blown. I borrowed a fuse from a guy I work with (fellow Max owner) and I'm back in business.

SeeMe CNC did email me back yesterday and called me this morning to assist me in diagnosing the problem. I explained the situation and that I was most likely the cause and they offered to mail me a couple spare fuses along with the missing #10-32 Nylon thumb screws. So my first encounter with customer support was great and my board didn't get fried!

I am glad that it was just a fuse.

I had the exact same popping noises when heating up my hot end for the first time. I think it was probably small air pockets trapped inside the hot end by the RTV sealant - when it heats up, the air expands and pushes it's way out of the hot end with a popping sound. I also got some smoking, but it was a moderate amount - like blowing out a small candle.
