Hey everyone!
I just finished assembling the MAX V2 kit and I flipped the power switch and the LCD screen stayed dark. The fan is running just fine and the green LED on the board turned on but no dice on the LCD.
If I plug the A cable onto the B pins the board light up plain blue if that helps.
Could this be due to a poor solder connection? My solder points do not look anywhere as neat as the ones if the video link from the instructions, more like little spheres sitting on the solder points.

You should re-flow all the joints if that's what your soldering looks like
They won't make good connections as-is.
When you power it on, it should come up with a blue background and two lines of blocks.

Thanks for replying, turns out I had the cables on the board upside down... I just found this post http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php ... able#p7035 and the kit I got did not have the housing around the A,B pins that force the cable to orient a certain way.
