My Rostock MAX

Post by Shizuma »

Here's my Rostock MAX I got last month, already did a few mods on it, added the purple accents, swapped out the junk PSU it came with with a high quality ATX PSU, added a fan for the RAMBo, the fan came with the kit but didn't say to do anything with it and I figured adding it to the RAMBo area would be a good idea. I also printed out a layer fan bracket and 2 additional corner brackets because I had an issue with the shaft on the platform working it's way out the end and having one of the arms come free. I suppose I could have just tightened the screws but then it deformed the platform and the joints would stick and then I would have had to take it apart and do more sanding which I didn't want to do at this point, so the little corner brackets keep the rod from sliding out, they also act as an LED holder for an LED I already had laying around which I put in one of the locations.

I also drilled a hole in the top of the electronics area and fed a length of fiberglass kit sparring I had laying around thru it to route the wires to the extruder and platform and then ran the corrugated tube over that from the base all the way to the platform, that's how the corrugated tubing there is standing vertical, I also printed a bracket that's on the underside of the top plate of the electronics area to secure the kite sparring in place.
