New Orion parts replacement

The good guys at SeeMeCNC sent me all new u-joints, axles, platform, mounts, and clips. I have them installed and I lightly greased the u-joints with lithium grease. Other than resetting the Z-height is there any other config changes i will need to make prior to running my first test print.

If you didn't touch the aluminum extrusions (geometry change) or heated bed (height change), you should be ok with just checking z-height and bed leveling.

Thanks! after you've calibrated over 200 machines, you tend to find an easy and quick way to get it right.... logically simple way of leveling everything and only takes a few minutes to dial in.

I also own the Orion and all I had to do is set the z-height, no calibration should be needed.
If you discover as you are printing that the print is not sticking to the bed in an area but is
sticking in other areas that would indicate that calibration is needed but usually not needed
on the Orion out of the box. The calibration was done before it was shipped to you.

I had bad u-joints and they sent me u-joints, axles, platform, mounts, and clips. when I installed the new mounts I had to move the end-stop set screws from the old ones to the new ones. I got them as close to the old height as I could. But I don't think it's exactly the same. I tried a test print last night and I did have a problem with parts failing to stick to one side of the bed and sticking good to the other. I printed a part in the center of the bed and it worked fine. Does that sound like a bed level problem? If so can you point me to instructions on how to level the bed. This is my first 3D print and I am still wet behind the ears, But i'm trying to learn.

He did a great job in writing it so that it is understandable and it works really well.
Follow that procedure and your platform should be level with the bed, the entire bed.
Edit: Make sure you get the 2nd revision of the user guide.

Maybe i looking at the wrong document. But page 25 of OrionUserManual-2ndEd.pdf has very good instructions for setting Z-height but I don't see anything about leveling the bed. If i'm missing it please forgive me. But i'm not seeing it.

This is the correct manual, on page 25 it talks about the z height but then it tells you how to calibrate.
The calibration actually starts at page 27 but you should start at page 25 and follow through to the end of the calibration.

Is there a way to change the horizontal radius EEPROM settings in the machine, or is that something ONLY thru Repetier (or other app)?

To access the EEprom settings you would need a computer and use Repetier Host - sorry. I do all my Orion printing via an SD card also.
There are times when a computer connection is necessary, darn it.
