Prop sword

Post by Shizuma »

This is a prop sword for a costume I'll be making that I printed out of ABS, the total sword is around 40" long, I printed it in 7 pieces, 3 for the blade, 2 for the handle/crossguard, and 2 for the basket. I was actually surprised I didn't have any delamination issues with printing the blade pieces in ABS since they were printed vertically and very tall, the tallest one being about 13" tall. Unfortunately having printed it in black the detail on the handle and basket don't really show well in the picture.

That is a great job! It is so well done that I thought it was real.

Thanks :) I was very happy with how it came out, and it will look even better once it all sanded smooth and painted. I'm also really liking the weight of it, or lack there off, I think my cell phone weighs more than it does.
