Material usage extruded??

Post by wildideas1 »

ok I admit i am horrible at math and need help. i have been having a blast last week printing after i got some issues resolved but i have never seen anyone ask this or just say it.

at the end of the g-code it lists time to build material usage and cost
example build Thursday
128.26 minutes
13.383 cm^3 ***** what is math for calculation how much material was used***?????
cost??

if anyone can provide answer i would be thankful

Are you using skeinforge or slic3r? They both estimate how much filament was used based on amount of E movement and filament diameter. Skein lets you specify a price per kg and thats where it gives you a cost from

aw ha found it Son and I have been using Kisslicer and it works awesome each box that you can change values on has a flyover explination of what it does (very helpful for newbies and such) and yes I never payed attention to the box about cost of operation and such till you pointed it out in your response. it walks you thru all steps to get results Awesome thks for helping me take a step back to read the directions
