My Rostock MAX v2 Prints

Post by graham.p.heath »

I've been torn on if this belongs under "What are YOU making" or here under "Rostock MAX v2", if a mod would like to move it, please do, and thank you.

I was fortunate enough to pick up an assembled v2 a couple of weekends ago.

I've had a short history in 3d printing, repairing a Makerbot Cupcake and building an Eventorbot, both of which had severe issues.

I dont feel like I would do the machine justice in an comprehensive review, I am *not* qualified.

I dont feel my prints are up to the quality that a seasoned vet could coax out of the machine.

That said, I've been printing some stuff, and making a few models including a makerbeam / iphone holder for the bot here:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:313195.

Most every print was printed at 30mm/s, however I regularly used the LCD to boost the speed of the print. Its been as high as 300%, I've been settling in at 225% or so for simple prints.

Have a look at my thingiverse profile for an uptodate list of prints / designs.

thoes prints look really good! (whew) thought my reputation was on the line there as I'm the guy who as built the assembled v2s that get sold locally.. you may be over critical of your skills, but thoes prints came out great, especially the winterfell one being that small... very good, you are well on your way!

Its a pleasure "meeting" the craftsman of such a tool. I'm loving it!
