Error Following PID Autotune

Post by 3DR »

Missing parts from SeeMeCNC turned up yesterday so managed to get the build complete and started the calibration stuff. When running the PID autotune I get an error following that(see attached image) is this anything to be concerned about?

That always happens after an PID auto tune, just disconnect, reupload with new PID values, and reconnect and its fine.

Why re-upload? Just adjust the PID values in the EEPROM like the funny book tells you. :)

Thanks both!

OK I've done all the calibration stuff and got to the step of opening up the peek fan shroud STL file, problem is I'm not sure why its dropping on the outside of the bed...

In your printer settings tab, swap back to classic printer, and put in -100 for bed front and bed left. I think that should solve it.

I'd like to know about the offset as well. I was under the assumption that it definitely needed to be set as a Delta printer vs. Classic. I could be wrong. I ended up just using the translate values you see on the first image you attached, and centered it from a top view. Printing it now just fine with Aquanet hairspray on the glass. (The elmer's glue sticks did not work for me, for whatever reason.)

Sorry, I forgot to tell you to swap back to delta after. It's just a bug in Repetier so it uses the wrong value for the bed center.

Thanks, I'll try your suggestion and see if it centres it.
