homing trouble

Post by KConley »

Hello,
I just purchased the Orion and I followed the manual all the way up to homing it out. Began the homing process and it moves all the way to the top then head jumps to the right, and starts jumping. It seems to me that the filament tube is not long enough to let it home it self out. Have know clue what to do to get this to home out. Any help would be greatly appreciated at this moment. New at this and don't know much about it yet.

I don't know if I'm reading it right... are you homing the towers but one continues to try and go up, 'jumping' to one side? If so, I would wonder if one of your limit switches is damaged and it keeps trying to raise that axis' cheapskate. The 'jumping' might be the belt skipping.

Just read through the manual. It should get you going on the process. If you still have troubles, just ask away on the forums.
