First Successful ABS Print

Post by g1r9a6d8y »

Just thought i would show this, had my heated build platform a couple of weeks so decided to connect it up this last week, easy enough but i need a better psu, takes about 15 mins to get to just 80c, biggest problem i had was only had 1.75mm abs filament but my extruder was for 3mm so i bored out some of the original 3mm tubing so i could slide the 1.75mm tubing inside, what a nightmare that was (multiple extruder jams) :( . Then the problem of recalibrating my skeinforge settings for abs, got it somewhere close then just tinkered about with speeds for a while, very happy with the results now. Once the 1.75mm has been used up i think i'll buy some 3mm
