G28 oddity
My printer was working well, so I decided to screw with it and install the new firmware. After finding the one motor that wasn't inverted in the firmware (?? thanks for releasing it like this guys) my machine now homes very oddly. The carriages drop about 10mm and then creep back up some, then stop before ever hitting the home switches. Whats up with that?

Re: G28 oddity
The flipped motor is because of the motor orientation in the v2.
The correct behavior is that the machine should run up, hit the switches and then back off them a ways. If they're never hitting them, you might have an electrical issue.

Re: G28 oddity
I homed it literally seconds before the upgrade. I verified the status low to high of all switches. I checked the endstop settings themselves (max true min false). I'm confuzzled.

Re: G28 oddity
I shouls add that have tried to home towers with them on the enstops as well, same result. If I continue to try it just moves the carriage further down and does the same thing.

Re: G28 oddity
Did you clear the EEPROM before you uploaded the new firmware? (write down your total time and total filament printed figures if you want to keep those)
You might also have accidentally set the z height at the top of the machine - use the lcd to go to the advanced menu and set the Z height (the procedure is in both the Orion and R-MAX v2 manuals).

Re: G28 oddity
No I didn't clear the memory, is that bad?
I haven't made it far enough to set the z=height, but I will check that thank you!

Re: G28 oddity
This is why Step #1 for the .91 firmware is "Clear the EEPROM".
