Hey guys,
I think I FINALLY found the problem with my machine. The power supply is only outputting 2.11 v on what should be 12v, and 1.84v on what should be 5v.
This would make sense why the motors are just twitching rather than moving, and why the vellmans wont heat up, and why my fans stall out and just twitch.
Do I need to just buy a new PSU from Seemecnc or is there a fix that anyone can recommend?
Thanks,
Adam
PSU problem
Re: PSU problem
I just dug out an old PC with a PSU... only 5 12v wires.
So until I get a new PSU, I might actually be able to run this thing barebones, with 3 going to the board and 2 for the vellman for the hotend. I need the PLA fan, so maybe I can rig up something with an external 12v source? Time will tell.
In the mean time, is my old PSU broken, or did I just blow a fuse or something? Any input anyone?

Re: PSU problem
Is your original power supply from SeeMeCNC? I accidently shorted mine and fried it. Make sure you turn all the power off before you disconnect anything (including the steppers and parallel port).
It is wierd that the voltage is so low. Are you sure everything is wired correctly? I think if the PSU was toasted, it would not work at all.

Yeah, it is weird. I think i may have shorted it right when i got it, is there a component i can replace or is it toast?
Im sure it was wired right, it only gets ~2v
