Source for Bearing Sleeves?

Post by Brian »

Are the bearing sleeves for the Cheapskate Bearings an off-the-shelf component, or are they a custom made part? One of my bearing sleeves is defective. The inside diameter is 0.015 smaller than the others and it's not smooth, so I can't finish my Rostock Max V2 build until I get a replacement. I managed to force the defective sleeve on the bearing, but it stretched out and makes the bearing contact area on one side more than the other, so it is trying to twist the cheapskate to the point it won't move freely. I dare not do anything more because I don't want to damage anything.

If this is a common part, can someone give me the part number or correct dimensions I need to order one?

Thanks.

Why not contact [email protected] and have them send you one?
If you need something faster and if the sleeve you are talking about part of the bearing, that bearing is one of the most common and should be stocked
at a hardware store. The number is on the side of the bearing.
