How to fix these issues with my prints

Post by apostoly »

Hi Guys,

So ive had my printer for 1 week now and here are some of the test prints and issues i want to get sorted.

Ill start of with the calibration cube - Printer was just re-calibrated before the print out. - Using stock seemecnc abs settings in slice

1 - layers seem nice and straight but there are little gaps in part just before the columns, then when the columns start to print they come out perfectly but the layers start to bulge out up until the columns finish and then it continues to how it was before as seen in the pics below

In this one it printed fine over all but if you look on the bottom left the layers changed pretty early on and then just continued all the way up (it could have been because i changed the print speed, but i cant remember) Using stock seemecnc abs settings in slicer

This one was just a test at 0.02mm which took 6 hours, but the part popped off the bed on all edges (ordering PEI sheets today) this was just more of a test. It also didnt fit on the ezstruder after 6 hours, and i ended up using my 30 minute extremely fast printed version :? - Used cura for this one

Send me one of your choosing, I'll slice it in Kiss and you can print it. I've a feeling it may solve some issues :)

Have you calibrated e-steps?
I loved my Rostock so much I now sell them in Oz :)

I pretty much just coped the manual in regards to the e-steps which is set too 92.65 - i might look at fine tuning them.

Ill just add the hollow cube for now and see how that goes. Thanks

Here is the pyramid that just printed

Have you calibrated e-steps?

I think you are over extruding and are printing a little hot, or with insufficient cooling.

I did have the suspicion of over extruding.

I am printing at 220 first layer -228 on a 90 bed - stock seemecnc abs settings

I printed out the new belt tensioners that esbowman posted, they came out fine apart from the slight curl i get on edges of some parts.

I Might look into the extrusion today and just give the machine a proper look over (Calibration Wise)
