Contact Cubify for better export support if you use it.

Post by Demolishun »

Hey, I just talked with Cubify about supporting more output formats with Cubify Design. Right now they support STL. They did get back to me to state that they are going to support importing STL. I am quite excited by that. Now I can modify STL files from places like Thingiverse. I also asked about plugin support, but it looks like they don't have that yet. Hopefully someday.

The reason I say contact them if you have a Cubify product is the home 3d printer owners need to speak up and let them know what they want. I specifically told them I wanted to be able to share in more common formats on file sharing places like Thingiverse. Perhaps that format would be the Cubify formats for now, but those are not very portable. The most portable format right now is STL, but that is not very editable.

Also, does anyone have and converters for Cubify design files to other formats? I would love to find one the supports some of the more open formats.
Challenge yourself and be a more awesome you.
