Can someone explain SeeMeCNC, Tricklaser and RotoMaak
Perhaps they're just a great group of makers who hang together. I'm just curious as to the relationship between them all. Anyone know?
I loved my Rostock so much I now sell them in Oz

Haha, hey McSlappy,
Yes, we're all makers here
So, a few years ago I started a makerspace in our hometown of Goshen, IN. BvanDiependbos (tricklaser.com) and his brother NavKram (Rotomaak) were some of the first members. Bvandiepenbos has a shop in town, laser accents, that does laser engraving and awards/plaques etc..., he actually cut the first Rostock MAX kits before we had big enough lasers to do them! Now his brother started rotomaak, so we have quite the startup hardware scene for such a small amish/mennonite community eh?

My take is that they're an evil alliance set on destroying our predefined notions about making as it pertains to 3D printing and replication. What makes them unique is their access to other makers and maker resources. Who knew that being centered around the epicenter of the RV industry would have such an effect on us?
Kinda makes me want to go out and buy a Winnebago just so that I'm more in alignment with the overall theme. Having said that, there are things I can't figure out:
Where does the Amish Mafia fit into this?
Is having a truck a requirement? (Do you get extra points for taking out buggies?)
Where do tattos, spikey hair and the whole Seattle influence come in?
Does their favorite food need to be fried?
Why is an ice cream stand on the main highway busy even when the temps drop to below 10F?

Actually, the Amish take on technology is quite an interesting study. They're aware of it and sometimes use it, but they're careful to keep it from affecting their way of life.

Tell that to the Amish dude I see at the grocery store driving the tractor... Maybe he's German Baptist, hard to tell the difference sometimes. I think they're just being stubborn and like to piss the rest of us off!

Never do anything you don't want to have to explain to the paramedics.
