3d Printed Cam for a vending machine installed and working

Ok so here are some photos of this part i got help designing from Joecnc2006 and Mcslappy. A BIG thank you to these guys

So far they are working great and have proven to be stronger than the original green parts you can see in the pictures.

Its very nice when you can design an outdated part and have it work better than the original.

Now you need a sticker that says "Repaired with a 3D Printer" to slap all over the place.

this part was the pretty much the reason i started looking and gaining this fascination with 3d printing.

i should print one and frame it.. it will just remind me that i now have no social life left and must really enjoy the toxic fumes of abs plastic

Awesome, good job! This is exactly why I got into 3D printing, to make parts / things that I couldn't just go out and buy for a few bucks, or at all.

Agreed, there is nothing better than printing an actual, functioning part that actually replaces a commercial part.
Making toys is great but the making of replacement parts leaves a good feeling in my heart.

Yea, it's nice seeing something that's actually functional. I'm all for printing stuff for your printer, machinists do it for their stuff all the time, but seeing real stuff is way cooler! Would be cool to see a subsection of What are YOU making for real world parts.
