Heya from Queensland Australia.

Post by rippedmittens »

Hi all . new member from Aus here.
Firstly i want to thank the guys at SeeMeCnC for a beautiful restock max two kit which arrived in great condition and good time considering the distance it traveled.
Im only a novice kit builder so she is still in the box until i gather a few extra tools and find a cat free work space to spread it all out.
This will be my second printer ,my 1st was a flash forge creator so i have done my teething and have attained some great prints from it.
I build primarily in z brush and rig models in blender for posing.
Cant wait to get this baby assembled and cranking out some sizable prints.

Ah well there's a story to be told hehe.
Years ago I was touring a small Marrionette theater out west for the rural kids in remote area's.
Timy there in the avatar had a bit where he trained a monkey and got the kids going when he would leave the monkey alone.
The kids loved it but you see, puppets out west take a bit of punishment from the bull dust, children and curious sheepdogs.
One year poor Timmy copped it in Mount Isa because the show society had all the acts on the back bed of an 18 wheeler that Slim dusty had once preformed on.
The performances were going great but all the kit and puppets were set toward the back with an 8 foot drop and nothing but a jimmy rigged tarpaulin to stop it .
Between sets a huge gust of wind took the puppet racks and my sound system down to ground level . Every one survived but poor Timy's head was crushed,
he had to have emergency surgery on the spot . Some of the kids ,you know the ones who wanna see what goes on behind the curtains, got a quite a shock when they
saw me digging in Timys Head in an attempt to reset his eyes into there sockets and repair the mechanisms.Since that fateful day he has had that certain broken look about him .
I promised one day i would rebuild him to make up for the 10 years that they had to spend in the box after my first child was born.
I discovered later that puppets swear like a struck drongo when they have been bagged in the dark for that long.
Its taken another 3 years for them to start behaving enough to handle .

I'm a bit north of Brissy, near Maroochydore. You're welcome to see it in action, though I must confess I've been too busy to assemble my V2 :O so only the V1 would be running.

No probs, just let me know when you're around.

I'll be replenishing and adding more parts as time goes on. Let me know if there's something you'd like me to stock.
