Hi all
I think I have identified some problems with lack of cooling from the layer fan, and I want to try out a fan duct with the "ring" surrounding the nozzle (very much like this one: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:43983), but I can't find any models compatible with the standard 30 mm fan (only for 40 mm fans). Has anybody modeled a "ring" fan duct for use with the standard fan?

Anyone has an improved fan duct for the 30 mm fan?
Re: Anyone has an improved fan duct for the 30 mm fan?
I wouldn't call 30mm a standard, it's just one of the smaller fans you can buy. 40mm is also extremely popular...I have several in my parts box.
Buying a 40mm fan would seem the cleanest solution for trying-out purposes. Another solution would be to print a fan adapter (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:21112). Or a really quick jury-rig by using one anchor-screw on the fan and sealing all edges with tape.

You could also just make an adapter plate to mount a 30mm fan on the 40mm mount if you really want to use the fan you have which would be pretty easy to do.

Since I can make the model in like 2 mins in Solidworks here's an adapter that should work to mount your 30mm fan onto that 40mm duct.
