Maxx Rev6 Onyx heating bed

Post by p38nut »

My kit came with the Rev6 heating bed. Seems like the only change is that the thermistor is back in the center. Gene, any other things to be considered? Thanks. Mike :?:

C'mon man when are you getting some red letters and a decent avatar! It's way too easy to miss what you say when you look like a generic user :P

Yellow is good. It stands out better than red.
Now when we see that avatar we will know to stop, read and learn.
Thanks for your postings, you have been a great help to us all.

Ok, I'm confused. I have a Rev 5 but drilled out a hole outside (like in previous posts).

I have it all soldered up and ready to install.

Do I switch it back to the center? Geesh!!!

no, rev 5 thermistor is the extra hole between traces.... rev 6 in the center (really only thing that changed was the heating traces so we can accurately use the center again) so you are good, no worries!

Gene has done an outstanding job for SeeMeCNC and you guys that work there should make sure that he is notified of upcoming revisions BEFORE they are made.
Besides, the cost of the glasses are starting to add up. :)
