EEPROM set to 0 Rostock not responding
EEPROM set to 0 Rostock not responding
Hi
Im calibrating the printer radius, and the most recent manual says i need to set my EEPROM to 0 so as not to avoid issues while calibrating printer radius.
I changed the EEPROM value back to 1. But now the printer is still not responding, it was responding just yesterday.
This is my second time uploading firmware with Arduino, Is it possible the firmware i am using is somehow wrong?

Are you using a v1 or v2 machine?
What version of the firmware are you using?

Hey
I checked out the firmware in device manager Windows 7
It says driver version is 1.0.0.0

I do believe i am running a v1 it came with Steves extruder as the default extruder.

The version number is printed on the LCD when the machine boots, it's not the Win 7 driver version.

Yeah my LCD screen does not seem to boot up when i fire up the machine.
Its just blank, I switched my board a while back because it had a bad bootloader.
I think the screen is confused about the switch or something.
There is no issue with the wiring it is wired exactly as is stated in the manual.

If the LCD isn't working, and the wiring is correct, you most likely have a firmware flashed that is setup incorrectly for the LCD.
The version is also printed in the log window when you connect to the printer with repetier host.

Re: EEPROM set to 0 Rostock not responding
I personally would start by upgrading to the latest firmware 0.83 has at least one significant bug, though AFAIK it won;t affect your original issue.

Re: EEPROM set to 0 Rostock not responding
Have you tried swapping the cables on the Rambo that goes to the LCD?
Re: EEPROM set to 0 Rostock not responding
Okay so i tried a bunch of things recently
I got the new recent new repetier host 1.0.3
I uploaded new firmware 0.91 I edited it to include my configuration values; PID, radius, height, and put baud at 250000
I tried swapping the cables but that didnt really do anything.
I am still having the same issue though, ever since i tried uploading firmware the upload was successful but the machine is irresponsive.
It is set on serial connection, i have a 127 cache size, and its on 250000, baud, i read some troubleshoots they recommended toying with different baudrates.
Also i just wanted some insight what is the difference between AVR and DUI firmware exactly ?
