Is anyone using the latest Repetier and Slic3r?

Post by Delta Zee Solutions »

Has anyone tried the latest release of Repetier 1.0.1 with Slic3r 1.1.7 ?

Any results or issues worth mention?

We have downloaded and installed it...I guess we'll just see.

Yes, I just installed both yesterday. Nothing spectacular. 3d honeycomb infill looks cool. I'm currently fighting with repetier wanting to slice my model in half. I haven't figured out how to reset it.

Halfway through the fan mount (70766 r2) so far and it looks good.

we're running ABS with a .35mm tip on a .040" Ultem (PEI) bed.

We can't seem to be able to display the tool path progress (visualization) on the screen :? Any ideas?

I normally print off the sd card. They did come out with a version 1.0.1. That solved my problem.

It is currently working for me. I am printing from the computer instead of the sd card, though. I have Repetier running, with the manual config window open, and it is showing the toolpath as it prints.

MORON ALERT....
The "show filament" and "show travel" icons on the upper menu bar needed to be toggled. They don't light up or give obvious indication if they are on or off.... problem solved.

Thanks, Mac

I installed v1.0 and it's the first version I've used. The main WTF moment for me was trying to locate the G-Code editor button. Took me longer than I care to admit before I found it - it's a sub-tab, not one of the main ones anymore.

Also: be sure to turn OFF "easy mode", otherwise the G-Code box doesn't show up in Manual Control and neither will the log.

There are more options in Printer Settings than v0.95. I left all of the ones not in the assembly manual as default and have not had issues yet

There is a bug that can crash Repetier if you do not have any profiles at all saved for Filament Settings. If you try to select a profile before you slice since the program tries to populate a dropdown box that has nothing in it

I have also later found out to check that the "receive cache" size under printer settings needs to have a value of 63 ( mine said 127) to avoid check sum errors well into running a print....

See my posts and pics here...

It maybe the new version that changed it, or it was there all along. Worth checking.
