I had a mouse and the printer running out of a 4 usb adapter plugged into this laptops only USB port (microsoft surface, win 8)

Plugging in the bluetooth headphone reciever into on of the other two ports didnt go down too well and sent the repeitier software to say that "printer no longer on specified port".

I restarted the computer after a bit and now when I troubleshoot the device it says it cant be plugged into a usb 3 port. even when I tried removing the problomatic headphone reciever.

Restardted computer and troubleshoot the device again. same usb 2 device may not work with usb 3 error. This time i plugged it by itself into computer without adapter or mouse. I ignored the error and booted audrino and repiier... this time it worked. strange! No resume tho sadly.

I guess the moral of the story is dont plug anything in while printing! Unless anyone has any other handy advice :)

I would suggest printing off the SD card, especially if you plan on using the laptop for other activities while you print.
