Just sat down and knocked this out in Solidworks last night. I wanted something a bit nicer then the cardboard box for my calibration dial. It might be a super high end model but it sure has my system calibrated and I want to keep that way. I also was just playing around in Solidworks and wanted to see if I could make the box and the insert fit perfectly. It turned out great and these are images with it right off the printer. Just thought I would share.
Matthercontrol and Matterslicer, Toner Plastics PLA at 75mm 210 EXT and 60 BED. Worked great!

Thanks! After seeing how much better my prints were since using the dial to calibrate I felt it only fair to give my new best friend a nice safe home when not in use.

Good job.
I haven't received my MAX yet--ordered it yesterday--so I cannot comment on the software yet. I'm hoping I can do some intricate shapes that I need to design for a specific project... we'll see.

Re: Calibration dial box.
I have had some really great successes with my printer so far. Along the way I had a few fails, but over all it is a wonderful printer and prints HUGE items if needed.

Hi Travelphotog!
I've been absent on the forums for a bit, as the summer is when I'm out traveling solid for work.
I just saw this post tonight and I was curious what specifically you are using your dial indicator for to calibrate the max?
Is it mostly for getting the bed level? Also, how are you mounting it to your max?
Thanks!
-Daniel

Re: Calibration dial box.
Just got the exact same dial in the mail. I had seen the part it's mounted on and printed it but I broke it while removing support. Can you show what the dial looks like on the machine while "in use"?
