Final Layers print problem

Post by bolive »

I am using an Orion And when i get to the last few layers that are small they are deformed. Here are some pictures of the problem. It almost seems like there isn't enough time between printing one layer and the next.

do you have a cooling fan on the print? Try slowing the print speed down on the last feew layers....

Fan didn't turn on. Do you know what setting i would need to change in slic3r to turn it on?

When you open slic3r config, click on the filament settings tab. Here you will find the cooling options. I have mine set for automatic, and the threshold is set for 15 seconds or less per layer. I also have it set to sloow down the print speed at 10 seconds per layer.

The part also looks quite small. It may help to print another object beside so the plastic has longer to cool.
