Hi there,
I've got an issue with my rostock max v2.
The PTF-connector on my hotend-side was broken so I bought a new one and replaced the old one. Afterwards I put on my printer and the NOZ-temperature that's shown on the display shows about -3,6° C. When I heat it up, I'm finally able to extrude some PLA manually, so my hotend-temp ist fine, but the values shown are just at 0,8° C.
Can somebody help? Thaaaank you!

Re: Hotend temperature suddenly wrong
If your managing to run the heater and the temperature is reporting incorrectly STOP, there will be no way for the software to know that the Hotend is at temperature, and you will over heat it possibly destroying it.
If the temperature is showing incorrectly, you most likely have a wiring fault to the thermistor, disconnect the thermistor from the board and measure the resistance with a meter, it should show about 100K at room temperature. Since you are not seeing def, the odds are it's a short possibly with the Hotend wiring somewhere. If you are unlucky, the short could have fried the thermistor input on the board.

So, actually one wire of the thermistor was broken. I soldered it so everything works fine again. thanks!
