Mounting a JHead to the standard effector

Hi all

I just bought myself a JHead hot end, and now I am completely confused about the best mount to print for the hot end. I want it to fit the standard effector on the Rostock Mac V2. A mount for a PEEK fan (preferable matching the standard PEEK fan supplied with the printer) would be nice too. Can any of you guys point me to these mounts somewhere?

Mmmm, I've found several JHead mounts, but I am not sure they fit the RMV2 effector. I like this because of the simplicity, but I just can't see how I would mount it (does it fit, or it is designed for another effector?):

Several of the mounts from Thingiverse will work but very few have a place for a peek fan and which one to choose is difficult.
This one works and has a place for a fan although you will need to buy the 30mm fan. I don't think it comes with the fan.

I use the TrickLaser J-Head mount myself and it's very nice.

Another one to keep on the radar will be the YellowJacket from my hometown makerspace! Glenn has been working on the design for a while, and his production batch of boards just came in!

I saw Glenn's board at last nights meeting... really nice design. Makes a clean install. Easy to unplug and swap out heads if you want.
The board is thick enough to take the place of the stock platform.
Works with a SeeMe hot-end or a groove mount hot-end.
Also has a place to mount a fan.

I got three of Glenn's quick connect boards just before the holiday,
along with the trick trucks upgrade. I might as well destroy everything all at once (-:
Anyhow, it turned out that on MY original hot end the cold end part isn't threaded
down far enough to allow me to use just the melamine spacer and circuit board,
I either need another spacer or a few thick washers.
Alternatively I could space it on top like Jim did, but I think that would need longer screws
and various other spacer bits.
Hmmm, I tend to over-tighten things too, tractor size wrench handling will do that to Ya.

Now TOTALLY unrelated to J heads...

A sudden discovery of head lice at my daughter's house today certainly helped the local pharmacy keep the lights on.
Tons of clothes, bedding and soft toys to wash and dry, so the laundromat made out too.

Back towards the topic; The pictures of Jim's solution are on the makerhive web site and I think I will be mounting mine
a very similar way. I am rebuilding the SeeMeCNC hot end with a pair of 20 watt cartridge heaters and the extra space
will give me a bit more space to work in. To ME this is very small work, so opening it up a little helps.

Dr Bronner's Peppermint liquid soap will clear those lice up. The Peppermint oil kills them.

I got three of them - a week or so ago, but time pressures have been upon me....
Since I am not a member on the makerhive I'll ask here;

{My only rationale is that I don't join anything that REQUIRES my DoB.}
{Too much other info becomes available from too many other places once that is revealed.}

Did you use multiple pins for power and ground on the big black plug ?
If so how did you do that ? i.e. the one to many split.

PS What crimp tool for the tiny pins ?
I may have to grind my radio shack crimper almost in half for the small ones, or upgrade.
It seems the ones on the strip are for the small white plugs and the 15 or so separated ones are for the big black plug.
BTW - - I HATE having to crimp things.
I've never trusted crimps with hand tools, though I acknowledge that they are in many ways the best choice when done PROPERLY, especially when done predictably by machines.
