Threadlocker

Post by TomS »

Hi all

I have just started building a Max V2, located in Jakarta. A lot of the "normal" supplies are difficult to find here. I tracked down some Loctite 242 but not sure if it is doing what it is supposed to. Who knows how old the stock was or if it was even genuine product. I have some waste from an application about 24 hours ago and it is still liquid, my assumption was that it should be dried or set up by now but wanted to check with anyone who has used it before. I would rather delay and make sure that the locktite is normal rather than have to tear it all apart later to fix it. Thanks for your help.

Just in case this isn't a complete troll... yes. The glue should have set up by now. Glue = no good.

Please don't post so many of the same message at once. It looks quite bad.

You'll be fine. I've had a bottle of loctite leak in my toolbox before, and it stayed liquid, but it still dids the job when I used it on bolts.

Pretty sure as long as no one replies to the duplicate threads you can delete them.

Thanks for the info, managed to delete the extra posts as well. Going to see if chrome makes it any easier not to get extra messages.
