Here is a photo of something I printed after driving 150 miles with my Orion, sticking it in storage, pulling it out and basically just trying a print after all that to see what would happen. The first calibration test I ran with the Towers gcode was a mess, so I ended up adjusting the z Height with paper and all that but beyond that I didn't do anything else to calibrate the machine. Should I get those little Z shaped files from the guy on here who made them specifically to test and correct this type of thing? Looks to me to be a belt issue as the gaps open up on the same side of all the printed pieces but I really don't know how to go about correcting it, any help is appreciated. Thanks guys

Looks like a sticky ujoint? The gapping on the one side is making me think this.
Can you pull off the arms and check each ujoint?

I loved my Rostock so much I now sell them in Oz

I would love to try KISS or CURA but I have no idea how to set it up to work with the Orion, any help is appreciated.DavidF wrote:kind thinking its a slicer issue. Can you try a different slicer?
EDIT: I downloaded CURA once, had no clue what to do and just gave up.

How do I know what to look for? Should I sand/lube/replace the bearing and is it likely to be on the effector or the moving parts on the aluminum rails? On a somewhat related sidenote I have put vaseline on the rails and the Cheapskate bearings before because of an awful grinding noise it was making. UPS really did a number on me, pic related:

on the cura, just run the first wizzard and input the information about the printer then load a model file (stl) and it will automatically slice it. Save the gcode file then reopen it in repeter and either save it so sd of connect to the printer and run it.
The error with your current print is just too consistant to be caused by mechanical error, It takes a computer to screw things up so percisely LOL
