Recalibration Issue
I just got a set of the new arms and end effector platform as an upgrade to my V1. I've gotten the height and all of the end stops calibrated, but when I try to tune the Delta Radius it doesn't seem to be changing the nozzle height at all. I tried flipping the glass plate, thinking that might be the issue, but it's fine. Is it possible the height is actually wrong? Or is there some other number that needs to be changed in the firmware? I also updated to the latest firmware.

Re: Recalibration Issue
I was following it...but reading through the firmware update thread it seems as though the Delta Radius is controlled in the EEPROM now, is that possibly what I'm missing? Because I've been changing it in the firmware and it doesn't change the nozzle height at all when running Script 4.

Re: Recalibration Issue
By firmware, do you mean the printer settings you need to disconnect the printer to edit?
Pretty sure im using the EEPROM to alter (one you can keep connected) but alas, it never seems to make any difference. Same problem as you. Going to need to get my thinking hat on tomorrow. I calibrated it once before but Im trying to do it again cause I was getting a little catching issues when printing bigish things. (and changed the nozzle)

Re: Recalibration Issue
It is possible to change it in either place, but it's much easier to do as Gene outlines in the manual (and less confusing when everyone uses the same process).
The X0Y0Z0 point won't change with different radius values, it's the outside perimeter that will vary.

Whats the default radius value? and what does that number actually represent? I understand its to control a convex or concave. it affects the parimeter only?

If you draw a 2D picture of the Rostock with a 0 size effector (i.e. it would look like a V) the radius represents the horizontal distance from the left most point on the arm to the center point of the V (or on the actual printer the horizontal distance between the arm pivots when the effector is in the center). It is coupled with the arm length to compute the carriage motion required to get X/Y/Z effector motion.
It's all basic trig, and any error introduces error in the cosine of the motion of the carriage which introduces concave or convex motion at the effector, adjustments change the center height relative to the height at the perimeter.

Re: Recalibration Issue
Yup...it was the number in the EEPROM with the 0.91 firmware. I followed the V2 calibration procedure and it works fine now.
