Tricklaser arms from v1 to v2

Post by jmpreuss »

I have a max v1 which I got tricklaser arms for quite a while ago. After getting the ED6 and seeing all the layer fans being posted designed for the V2 effector plate I thought the easiest thing to do would be to order the v2 effector plate and the v2 hardware for the tricklaser arms instead of designing a layer fan holder myself. This is now what I am looking at (so much for easier...).

Anyone know how I can get the V1 arm attached to the v2 hardware?

And yes I know I should contact tricklaser but its the weekend and I would like to finish it. Plus I think they have back to back maker faires so I'm not sure how quick of a response I would get.

I did get a sheet of paper that is the same as the photo on the site. I guess to be more clear on where I am stuck is there is hardware that has to be removed from my current arms before I can put the new hardware on and I don't know what gets removed and how to do that. Things seem to be attached pretty tight and I don't want to force something not knowing how the old hardware is supposed to come off.

If you need to get the old hardware off of the original TL arms, everything is mounted to a plain old machine screw, it just doesn't look like it because there's metal foil tape over the threads. Look really close and you'll find the edge of the tape to peel it off. Just did this myself.
