object downsizing

Has anyone have a problem with designing a project in sketchup then bringing it to repitier and the project shrink in size to a 1/2" project. tried to resize it but can't get the exact dimensions that I need. I use cura as my slicer, ( Like cura much better quality than slic3r)

It probably assumed the units were mm instead of inches, try scaling by 25.4.
There are no units in an STL file, so applications just assume what they want.

I use mm all the time it messes the mind up trying to convert all the time so I stick to one format.
