Hey guys, I'm having a small issue with Silcer vs Curaengine using Repetier Host slicing program. They both have 75 micron printing layer settings, yet Slicer is not picking up on the details as much as Cura.
I want to use Slicer because the supports of Curaengine are making no sense, I've tried playing with the settings yet theres always floating supports which make no sense, and I can't seem to change that, I tried playing with the overhang angle but that didn't work. Like how is it supposed to print them hanging in mid air, doesn't seem like smart supports haha.
Anyone know to either fix the Slicer to get better resolution or fix the supports of Cura for them to actually work.

Re: Slicer vs CuraEngine issues
and now you know why I still use 3 slicers
I've never seen that support oddity you see in Cura, and I'm not sure I fully understand what's going on. I'd hazard a guess that you'll have better luck trying to fix Cura's support oddity than Slic3rs poor resolution. That's just a guess tho

I loved my Rostock so much I now sell them in Oz

Re: Slicer vs CuraEngine issues
there is nothing wrong with curas support structure, just print it and you will see.......
