Mistake while wiring heated bed

Post by Steel_Neuron »

Hey there!

I was soldering the wires that go to and from the heated bed, and I realized later that I had made a mistake and used 22 WGA wire instead of 18 WGA. I was wondering if I should redo the whole thing, because I suppose it's dangerous to have a thinner wire there, right?

Thanks!

You will want to redo it so you will have enough current to the heatbed. If you read some of the other posts about the bed not getting hot enough, you may want to use 14 gauge wire instead of the 18.
