Hey guys,
My machine recently started not printing as well as usual, and I ran the tower config file. Turns out it isn't level. Left front is perfect with the center, right front and back both have the extruder diving into the glass. I've adjusted the screws as far as they'll go, and not significant change.
Any thoughts?

Re: Leveling problem
I also just tried Mattercontrol's auto leveling function with no success. For some reason, when I print with Mattercontrol using Cura, the extruder is way too high. Haven't tried with Slic3r yet.

If your screws are bottomed out then I would recommend that you unscrew all of them to the same height and start from scratch. Subtract about 1mm of your z level height before running your tower gcode to start with so your don't crash anything into your glass.
It takes me a while if I do this manually with feeler gauges or slip a piece of paper under the nozzle in each position. It takes less time with a dial indicator. I tried a few times to do it by eye but I NEVER got it right.

Re: Leveling problem
I appreciate the advice.
Two days ago I heard a bang during a print, and one of the arms broke off. It was just that metal rod that slipped out, but it was doing it on all three arms. I've set the rods back into their proper spot, and reran the tower program. Only the front right dives, and the screw is fully screwed in. Guess I have to start over like you suggest.

Re: Leveling problem
Evidently there is a bit of an issue with the metal rods coming out from the effector plate on the V2s. http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=5251, http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=5580caseythehost wrote:I appreciate the advice.

You could try a bit of a fix, but it's mentioned to try and contact support.
As for the extruder being way too high, maybe there is a Z setting in matter control that you have to change to match the Z adjust in the firmware on the front panel. There was a setting in Repetier for it... I haven't run Matter too much as I do most things from the SD card.
Re: Leveling problem
How do you use a dial indicator to level the bed? I have been trying the paper method and can get it close. But I still bottom out in the front right area of the bed. And help would be appreciated.heathenx wrote:If your screws are bottomed out then I would recommend that you unscrew all of them to the same height and start from scratch. Re: Leveling problem
Welcome to having a delta printer!
This is one of the setbacks with the delta printers. At the towers, the Z height isn't bad, but between the towers and more away from the centre, you might notice you have high and low spots. There are a number of things that could cause this, and I believe they're getting close (if not gotten a decent solution) to figuring out how to defeat this issue. Personally I've just dealt with it the best I can, but if you do some searching on the forums, you should be able to find some posts in regards to the details of an auto-levelling set up.
