Okay, its done so here's the results: It seems it just really hates those overhangs. Is there any way to compensate for that?

Not bad overall I guess, but I wish the overhangs were better...

I am using kisslicer (reg) and it is building some support structure?

Be interesting to see how it goes, it is definitely a lot quieter than the da vinci and it looks real nice

How long did it take to print, this is going take about and hour?

Took an hour and a half in repeteir

I also did the layer fan and now i'm printing something small just for fun because I have time before bed and why not

My test print will be the treefrog.... The da vinci prints them but not very well.

One hour is not too bad then, I don't like the slicer that it uses so mine is imported to repetier as g-code after I slice in kisslicer.

To be frank, those are very excellent first prints. With my home built rostocks, it took weeks of tweaking to get it to the point you're at now.

Also... I thought I was ballin' with my three pack of disappearing purple. I see you've outdone me this time.

The 6 pack was like $5 or so at office max... I don't know if I could have gotten it cheaper (im sure its like half that on amazon lol) but its across from where I work so I just grabbed it on my lunch break. I could have gotten a simlar sounding product from avery... it was like 10 for the same price but something about that didn't sit right with me so I grabbed the elmers.

I'm sure to be using tons of this stuff... so I figured I might as well buy in bulk. Especially since it will be not only my boyfriend and I, but his two roommates as well will probably want to print stuff. Of course, no one is allowed to touch my machine but me and my boyfriend. Otherwise I'll cut their hands off... (on the plus side i can print them new bionic hands with the printer)

Here's what I just did for fun.... needs some tweaking, you don't even want to see the bottom... the person who made it didn't give any tips for the settings that should be used...

It's a replicator block, its what the replicators are made of

Best thing I did for print quality and lower stress levels was to add a heat spreader plate and start printing on PEI. An easy modification and not terribly expensive.

No more gluing, spraying, taping, cleaning, scraping, cussing, throwing curled printed stuff, etc.

I bought a jumbo pack of Elmer's glue, enough to last Mrs. Clark's kindergarten class for a couple of weeks and ended up using 2 of the 24 tubes.

You should print up one, then make a plaque for your printer that says, "For the person who touches my printer".

My heat spreader is copper, many people successfully use aluminum. I chose copper because its heat transfer rate is significantly higher BUT so is the cost. I think that either will work.

I attached the PEI to the Glass Build Plate with 12" wide 3m tape and stack the entire assembly and hold in place with pinch clamps. Down side is that the temperature variance between the top surface and the bed thermistor in the stackup is 5 or so degrees until the system is thourghly soaked.

I have ton of copper foil laying around, but its probably way too thin... I assume you'd need something thicker/more rigid

While anything could help, I used a 1/16" sheet. I also wanted the stored thermal mass.
