I went looking for doors once on eBay. Those people are insane. I found a plastic door *skin* (just a cosmetic bit) and they wanted $450 EACH for them. I suspect someone told them they were made from ground unicorn horn bound together with a resin made from the tears of a virgin politician. :D

A virgin politician?
They would be as rare as an honest politician!
They're even MORE rare. Even an honest politician has screwed somebody. :D

Very Good Point! :)

Stop by the next time you're in town. I've got an Oculus Rift DK2 VR headset that'll blow your mind. :)

Oculus rift?! Jealous...

I found out yesterday that my dad is in the midst of (tying to) create a full motion platform for a simpit...

I'll let you know in 20 years when he finishes. :P Just kidding. More like ten years. He was saying something about an inverted deltabot design for the platform, to which I raised my eyebrow... do simpits really need that kind of positional accuracy? haha. Okay I just asked him, it's a stewart platform he's making and he has most of the parts already haha.... so this might be fun. I see in my future the printing of many avionics console replicas...

Stewart platforms are pretty easy to build and very difficult to drive properly. What is he using for positioners?
