Finally some success!!!!

So i spent the better part of the morning trying to do everything i can to figure this thing out. bed leveling, screws, etc etc etc...
I think i finally got a working set.
here is my test print... its only an inch by inch, so im not sure how this will translate outside of the middle of the bed, but thats next.
What are your initial thoughts on the quality of this? For me, its the best thing ive printed in 2 weeks owning this, but i dont know how it stacks up with others.

the only thing i see is that edge in the third pic... not sure why it is that way.. the others are right.

let me know your thoughts please...

That is a very good print.
The edge that you speak of looks like the first layer that is thicker than the proceding layers which is desirerable to help stick the print
to the glass, if you do not like the first layer being thicker then try using a brim when printing.

Actually im talking about the vertical edge on the right side of the print... just very jagged.. sanded out easily enough, but concerning none the less.

ive been running pretty consistent the last couple days, doing some iphone cases and my project of a multi sided object with holes for wood dowels.
the cases are always pretty rough. edges, etc.. lots of sanding required. the other thing is about 60% done and looking really good.
no matter what my first layer is SOOOO overextruded (or so it seems). im not sure if the speed its cranked down (just 10mm difference than the other layers) is causing that.. maybe ill run a test print with a full speed first layer of 30mm instead of 20mm

I'll bet that's where the slicer is beginning and ending the perimeter. You're going to get a bit of a discontinuity there.
