So I'm printing a large soap tray for the corner of our shower and since the legs are so tall, I wanted to give it some reinforcement if it accidentally fell over or we dropped it.
My CAD skills are still pretty raw so some simple cross braces were the best I could come up with. I wasn't sure how well they'd print, especially because they met in midair - it's definitely something where if I were somehow printing this "by hand" then they'd never line up and I'd wind up with a huge tangled mess after not too long.
Well check this magic out!

The print is not finished yet but wow! It's absolutely perfect! I know the picture is pretty bad quality but there is no seam at all where they met, and there's no slop on the underside either.
I also printed out a Raspberry Pi case yesterday and it had to do some bridging for the SD card opening, and that was perfect too. Not even the slightest indication that bridging is challenging.
Gotta say I'm pretty happy with the Rostock Max!

Right on! Looks good. I like the use of the infill pattern for letting the water through.

A very good print that shows some of the capabilities of the Max Printer.
Good use for the printer also, I never thought to print something like that!

Very nice print. Do you have any pictures of the finished product? Also, I assume you're using PLA?

Yes, that was PLA. I don't have pictures yet, but I'll take some and post them later!

Here's the long overdue pics of the print finished and performing its job admirably!
Try not to get grossed out by all the melted soap. I wouldn't have done this print if there wasn't a need for it...
