Finally got around to getting one.

I'm from Estonia but I moved to Canada in 2012 and thank all the gods/deities that I did because the shipping costs would've been worse than they were
I've been a lurker for a long time before I even got the printer itself. Read through a lot of the topics, there's always cool stuff to see/read because the members of the forum here make a lot of cool things in their own spare time.

Some of the experience with the printer itself.

I'm happy with how fast it arrived and the packaging was awesome, nothing was damaged. The amount of space I had to use for the build is extremely small so I had to stack the build platforms because I didn't want to accidentally crush them by placing them on the floor.

I've made some pics of the build and the wiring and whatnot, I didn't take too many as I just sat there assembling it the day I got it.

Somewhere in the haze of it I screwed up 2 thermistors and I'm waiting for the new ones to arrive, I also have the e3d hotend you can see on the table on one of the pics.
I didn't have any wire crimps and it was such a pain in the ass to get the cables into the crimps without it. Took me slightly less than 17 hours total to assemble.

Featured in the pics/video is my $9.99 shit tier drill I picked up 2 years ago.

I can almost understand Estonian (being Finnish). Finnish and Estonian are the only languages which resemble each other.

3d printing is all about creating stuff. And birthing the printer is also a very pleasant experience.

I did manage to turn it on without it blowing up so that's always good. What I'm worried about is a small whine that starts when I was moving the axes manually and it would only stop when I killed the task. I was using repetier-host to move the axes on the printer. Sounded exactly like coil whine on graphics cards. Not sure if this is normal.
Video of what coil whine is and how it sounds like. Don't pay attention to the guy who is bullshitting about the graphics card. Info about what causes it is on 0:34 and that's a bit worrying.

Neat Video. What you are hearing is the step motors. They all make that sound and the wood platform amplifies the sound.
The way to reduce the noise to almost nothing is to install dampers on the 3 axis step motors. Here is a topic that talks about
them and has a picture of them attached to the motors. A user named astroboy907 sells them, you can pm him about the cost.
